Converter secondary de-dusting system
1、 Pollution sources and characteristics Converter will generate a large amount of smoke during mix the hot metal, add scrap and tilt for tapping; also parts of smoke will escape from the gap between apron hood and converter mouth during smelting period. When mixing hot metal, the molten iron will produce radiant heat and emit smoke and other harmful gases. The Pollution sources have high temperature with thermal radiation intensity 4-15cal/cm2. The shop temperature is up to 40 ~ 50 ℃, which make the operating conditions very poor. Converter produces large amount of smoke during mixing hot metal, and further more, the converter production is cyclical, i.e. each converter will tapping for thirty to forty times daily, if no secondary de-dust measures, it will not only pollutes the environment and harmful on human health, also bad for the normal operation of the instrumentation.
2、Secondary dust collecting of Converter Most of the Secondary de-dusting systems of domestic converters adopt the door-shaped exhaust hood at the front of the converter, enclosing the area above the operating layer to effectively trap the flue gas during tapping period, setting baffle under the platform to guide the smoke up-going into the closed room; and set exhaust hood after the converter. The door-shaped exhaust hood is used to trap the smoke during mix hot metal and add scrap; and the behind exhaust hood is used for collecting smoke during tapping.
